Halo Movie Officially Dead
By: Avinash Bali   |   Oct 08, 2007
After teasing and tantalizing Halo fans for over two years now, the much anticipated (or dreaded) Halo movie has now officially been proclaimed dead. Here’s what the movie’s director, Neill Blomkamp had to say in a recent interview with IGN:

"The film is entirely dead. In the configuration it was in. Whatever happens with that movie, assuming that movie gets made, will be a totally different configuration," Blomkamp informed Creativity-Online.com. "It's not so much me as the entire vessel sank. Basically, it was a combination of; there were two studios involved that weren't getting along in the process of making it, Universal and Fox. That kind of stuff happens, it's a fragile industry. So the film collapsed at the end of last year, and it's been dead, ever since then. I'll be curious to see what happens."

I personaly think its a load of bull.... if the two companies could just sit down and review the hits for the halo series they would understand that they wouldnt have to change anything about it! halo blew everyone out of the game after game after game! now i could understand if they wanted to make a movie about what led up to all this but if they want to compleatly change the plot or the way of halo i say they are retarded they just need to sit down shut up stop bickering and review halos hits then they would understand the game itself how it was is perfect they dont need to alter jack-crap! keep it how it was to start with if you change it youll just make halo fanatics like myself angry... and im sure a lot of people would agree...

I would love to see Halo on film, but if it means compromising the story
for the big wigs in the movie industry to make what "THEY" think will sell. If that is the issue. I'd rather keep true to the essence of Halo. Which made it what it is. And if that means no movie, then no movie.
