Ridge Racer 2 by the end of this year

While it's no Burnout, Ridge Racer for the PSP was a pretty good game, if you're the drift loving type that is. The game must have met with a good amount of success to warrant a sequel, which by the way will be available by the end of this year for the PSP.

Ridge Racer 2 will ship with newer cars, newer tracks and three new modes in addition to the World Tour mode, Time Attack, Wireless Battle (upto eight players) and the new Arcade mode. Details are pretty scarce at this point, but we know that two of the new modes will be called Duel and Survival. Expect an update soon.

The game releases in Japan on the 14th of September 2006.
