Russian politician plays blame game
By: Avinash Bali   |   Apr 21, 2006
Alexander Gurov, member of the Russian State Duma (some sort of political relevance) blames games for the sharp increase in violent crimes, especially racist attacks. The Russian crime rate has gone through the roof in recent years with 21 murders per 100,000 population taking place in 2005.

According to Gurov, “The Internet is awash with violence and computer games have gangsters and killers, Nazis and Japanese militarists as main characters.” (He obviously hasn't played Katamari Damacy or Nintendogs). He even goes far enough to say, “In Russia, only games where the Nazis always lose should be available, but so far the opposite is happening.”

Now if my memory serves me right, I haven't come across a game where the Nazis win, except for maybe KZ Manager, a DOS game that puts players in charge of a Nazi Concentration Camp.
