Kingston Launches 64GB DataTraveler
By: Shayne Rana   |   Nov 25, 2008
Kingston Technology has announced that it is shipping its high-capacity 64GB DataTraveler 150 (DT150) USB Flash drive. DT150 offers the largest capacity in Kingston's entire line of DataTraveler USB drives and allows users the room and flexibility to backup important hard drive content, and transport and share complete collections of music, videos, photos and documents in one convenient device.

“The new 64GB DataTraveler 150 takes transportable storage to the next level with big capacity in a small package,” said Jaja Lin, Flash business development manager, Kingston. “As file sizes increase with digital media content such as music and photos, the need for USB Flash drives with high capacities will continue to rise. The DT150 certainly addresses those needs today.”

Kingston’s DataTraveler 150 is fully compatible with Windows Vista, XP and Windows 2000 as well as Mac OS X 10.3 (and above) and Linux 2.6 (and above). The DT150 carries a fully guaranteed five-year warranty and 24/7 tech support.

This new 64GB DataTraveler is currently priced at about Rs. 8,800 ($177) but hasn’t been officially launched in India yet. A 32GB version is also available for approximately Rs. 5,760 ($116).

because 8 GB pen drive is for 800 RS
and for 64 GB its 8000
1600 Rs costlier.............
but the price wil come down to 5000 RS in 3-4 months
it will be a good deal then

an awesome hardware to which every youngster might be looking forward to.already usb hard drives are available in the market but this would likely bring about revolution just because of it size and its compatibility with various operating systems
manish @ Nov 25, 2008
The cost is way too high, A 16GB flash drive sells for R400 which is $40, and a 1TB Hard drive sells for R1500-00 which is $150 and the same price.
Ive seen similar for almost half that retail price.
Take into account that most peoples phones have 8GB/16GB memory sticks
NEX @ Nov 25, 2008
But a portable hard disk would be 10 times heavier than this!!!
Sidhant @ Nov 25, 2008
