:-) Good now there is no piracy in all of mumbai.

What a laugh!!!!

I always believed - if Audio/Video/Software were release like how we have books release under EEE (Eastern Economic Editions) for South Asian countries -then piracy will be reduced. A movie costs around 400-600 Rupees .. is it any wonder that people pick up the same for around 50 bucks from the pavement-vendors.

Hollywood needs to understand the economics of releases in Asia. Remember how T-Series made a killing by selling quality at reasonable prices ... maybe Hollywood should take a leaf out of that company.

This is just tip of iceberg. I know some one who is into manufacturing of pirated cd. He daily manufacturers around 5000 copies. Just imagine how much he is earning. He is doing this work from Kanjurmarg. His residence is in Kandivali. His name is Niraj Gupta, I don't know under which name he works in the market. His major market is Thane. If police is reading this article than I wish they can catch him. I am doing this for our community. This type of anti social eliment should be caught and should be punished heavily. They should not be released on bail.

The piracy of all new movies and audio CD's is present in Mumbai and many other metro cities since a long long time. All the latest movies and softwares are openly sold on the Mumbai streets at through away prices. How is it possible that the Police has not noticed it till today. A catch of just Rs. 10 lakhs is just tip of the iceberg considering that the daily sales of the piracy business is in corers.

What is the big deal it that? We see pirated cds and dvds selling everywhere in India. What about that. We see police going by these hawkers and doing nothing. I dont understand how come they bust a racket once in a lifetime when there are still pirated material sold everyday on every road?
