Microsoft Moves Search Traffic To Adcenter
By: Jayesh Mansukhani   |   May 04, 2006
In a strategic move, just a year after first announcing plans of developing and using in-house ad engine, Microsoft has now begun using its own product for all its U.S.-based search queries. Appropriately titled Adcenter, the software is at the heart of the company's efforts to increase advertising as a source of revenue across the company.

CEO Steve Ballmer, who is expected to announce the completion of the switch to AdCenter on Thursday, has said the move is worth it, despite some deployment problems in the near term.
