The Turkish court, which had imposed a ban on Google-owned video sharing site, YouTube, has reversed its decision, allowing Turkish web surfers to access the site.
Turkey’s telecommunications provider, Ahter Kutadgu, told Turkey’s news agency Anatolia that they restored access to YouTube as soon as they had received notice from the court of their new decision, two days after the ban was imposed.
The Turkish court had banned YouTube following an offending clip of modern Turkey's founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk that was published on the site. The Turkish court banned the site soon after web surfers complained about the offending video clip, allegedly uploaded by a Greek.
YouTube said they were concerned about the ban, and had immediately removed the offending video clips, which the court said would satisfy them in terms of getting the ban lifted.
