According to 9to5Mac, Apple is all set to introduce a new manufacturing method for its laptops, which will involve “cutting” out the body of the laptop from one solid chunk of aluminum. This brick will be cut out with lasers and jets of water to produce a single piece seamless case for new MacBook models expected to be launched on the 14th of this month. The new process allows the laptops to be smaller, sleeker lighter and without screws.
The interesting note here is that for a change, a manufacturing process seems to be grabbing the limelight. The fact that new MacBook models are going to be introduced seems to be a moot point. One of the new models I would love to see would be a MacBook Air with Tablet functionality using OSX's fantastic interface.
