In what has to be the biggest ever software update for its platform, Apple has rolled a massive security rollout that fixes 25 bugs in its operating system. Out of the 25 bugs that have been fixed, at least 12 are critical flaws which leave a system open for exploitation over the internet. These critical flaws had been found to be affecting various parts of OSX and include third-party components such as Kerberos authentication.
Apart from the 12 critical bugs, 3 bugs that were disclosed as part of the Month of Apple bugs also have been fixed. Beyond these obvious fixes not much is known about the remaining fixes due to Apple following a policy of non-disclosure of technical details and instead just ranks the severity of the bug.
