Life for kids these days just keeps getting better. Now, students can get help for homework online via AOL's new site, studybuddy.com for children from kindergarten to grade 12 (US), free of charge. The site offers advanced search tools and extensive content from trusted references and educator-screened Web sites for customized information. Moreover, StudyBuddy.com's search functionality also organizes results by media type to best meet assignment source requirements. The study search leads to books, journals, articles, newspapers, encyclopedias, multimedia videos, audio clips, maps including the CIA World Fact Book, World Book Encyclopedia, National Wildlife Federation, Thomson Gale, TIMEforkids.com, The Princeton Review, Sky & Telescope and blinkx.
Other StudyBuddy features include online folders called Backpacks, where students can save searches and content and even share the saved items with others. Likewise, when parents create a free StudyBuddy.com account, they can mark search returns to appear in their children's Backpacks. Parents also can monitor the contents of their kids' backpacks. Moreover, teachers will be able to add StudyBuddy.com on their Web sites to create their own virtual Backpacks that they can fill with links to articles or videos that they want to share with their students.
StudyBuddy.com also incorporates AOL's suite of award-winning Learning Services priced at $4.95 per month, designed to improve students' in weak areas. Read more here.
