LG has reportedly marked out an aggressive marketing strategy for India which involves launching 21 new phones in 2007, out of which 7 are 3G-enabled handsets. H.S. Bhatia, National Product Group Head GSM Mobile Phones, LG, said that "LG is accepted as the No.1 handset manufacturer of 3G handsets in Europe and America. We are optimistic about the market here in India."
The Korean company will also open two brand shops in Delhi exclusively for the marketing and promotion of LG phones, with 20 to follow before the end of the year. They will also be doubling its existing count of retailers by adding 22,000 new ones, bringing the total to 40,000.
