Here’s the lowdown straight from Crytek CEO, Cevat Yerli in a recent interview with Game Informer:
"What happens next we haven't decided yet, because first we want to see how the game is received, publicly and critically, ratings wise, et cetera. We believe it will be received at least as strong as Far Cry. I hope personally a 5% average increase. That would give us an argument to, 'OK, let's see how we can bring Crysis to consoles.' The engine right now is running on consoles so there's no reason why we couldn't."
All said and done I’m sure the game will sell well and I’m even more sure of the fact that EA will want to milk the franchise as hard as humanly possible so I really wouldn’t be surprised to see a Nintendo DS version of Crysis floating around in the near future.
