Three new portable media players—MK, ME and VE—are to be released by Singapore-based Shiro.
All three of these media players are fitted with FM radios and a voice recorder function as well. The acceptable audio file formats are WMA/WAV and JPEG/BMP for viewing pictures, standard for all 3 players.
The Shiro VE is the higher end model and has a 2.4-inch display and 4 GB of internal storage. The dimensions of this particular device are 71 x 43 x 10 mm. The VE is also fitted with a microSD slot for additional external storage. The plyer accepts AVI, WMV formats for video.
The ME model is also fitted with a microSD slot and 4GB of memory. However, the ME features a 1.8-inch screen, is 81 x 40 x 12.1 mm in size and accepts AVI, SMV and WMV type video files.
The last in the series is the Shiro MK model. This model has 2 GB of internal memory. There is no slot for adding additional memory. It does, however, come with a built in speaker. Being the smallest model the dimensions are just 76 x 43 x 15 mm. This player only accepts SMV type video files.
As of now, neither pricing nor any idea of availability has been provided. These PMPs are however, to be introduced at CeBit this month.
