New Social networking site, Eydew.com (pronounced 'I do') has announced a new category of social networking for the Digital LifeStyle, at CES 2007. Eydew now caters to compulsive 'list makers', allowing them to check off items competitively on their 'must do' and 'best of' lists of activities for a hobby, sport, or affinity. Users on Eyedew may compare their accomplishments and share their recommendations with others in the community.
The new digital lifestyle category includes activities such as 'Have you posted videos online?', 'Have you stood inline for more than 4 hours for a new gaming system to be released?' and 'Did you play the original TV version of Pong?'
Anne Marie Biernacki, the Moderator of the Digital LifeStyle category says, "We all want to play with the new gadgets the day they come out but there are challenges with how they integrate with all our other stuff. The Eydew users can share their accomplishments but also interact with other users that have had successes and challenges with living the Digital Lifestyle". The category aims to focus the users on the 'real issues of technology adoption'.
Chris Artabasy VP of Marketing for Eydew says, "With so many people interested in the new technology and opportunities with digital products, having a Digital Lifestyle category for people to compare and share their experiences was a natural addition to Eydew's other communities."
