According to reports, the high and mighty Alpha and Omega of social networkers, Facebook, is heading to our shores. They have recently announced that that they’re planning on opening an office in Hyderabad. This will be their first office in Asia and how lucky are we that they chose little ole India. They’re office is expected to commence operations in the next two months. According to reports, the government i.e. State Information Technology and Communications department have given the company permission to set up shop at the Raheja Mindspace special economic zone (SEZ). They intend to hire about 500 people to populate this office space. The office is apparently strategically placed to help provide better support to the site and of course it’s millions of users, 8 million of which are in India.
