Man Kills Daughter Over Xbox
By: Avinash Bali   |   Sep 15, 2006
Alayiah Turman, a 17 month old toddler paid for a minor mistake with her life yesterday. Her mistake was accidentally pulling on the chords of her father’s Xbox causing it to fall. 25 year old Tyrone Spellman got so enraged by this; he punched her repeatedly and threw her across the room.

When Alayiah's mother returned home, Spellman who also goes by the name Anwar Salahuddinshe, told her, that the child was sleeping. The police too were lied to later on and were told that the girl fell to her death from her bed. Spellman has been arrested since the police have found no evidence supporting that claim.

Now this is sad indeed, but we all know politicians are going to have a field day with this, turning it into another anti video-game campaign of sorts.

i think the mentality of a 25 year old adult parent is supposed to be pretty stable.it's about time ppl stop blaming technology for their own moral downfalls.

This is what G@MES can do to you if you get involved toooooooo much!

For all time gamers - LiFE is not a Game.
For the toddler - RiP
For me - I pray this may not get repeated.

Video games have caused many problems in the home across america. The major problem is when men refuse to grow up, and continue to act like immature boys when engaged in a game. Men-----across america, grow up and be mature. This is why women become more intellectual than men, because women get involved in more grown up activities.

People are losin it over these video games. I love playin my xbox too, but when my son trips over the cords or something there is no way in hell i would do anything like that to my child. There is seriously somethin wrong wit ol' boy. He definatly is insane in the membrane. My prayers go out to that family.
Raafi @ Dec 08, 2006
Unbelievable! No father can throw his 17 month old toddler.
Anish, Tokyo @ Dec 07, 2006
I wish i could say that this was unbeleivable, but i can't, i am sickened to hear that some one could do this to human, let alone one so young. And over a replaceable device like an xbox, and more so when i just bought one for less than $35au.
this action is nothing more than criminal rage, the cause is not the games, but the perpetrators inability to manage his anger and to prioritize the things that truly matter
Rodger- Horsham, Australia @ Oct 24, 2006
Ha i'd do that tooo...

if i am playing serious sam and someone unplugs the controller cables !!!
SoleSurvivor @ Oct 17, 2006
How can you hurt some one that you love over a video game. Just buy another one if it is broke. Come on she is only a toddler they do destructive things. It is his fault that she was not being watched.

THIS IS A HORRENDOUS CRIME. It has nothing to do with gaming, but everything to do with the ongoing moral & spiritual decay of man. When time has surrendered and earth is no more, I fear for the souls of many. Their only hope is Jesus.
Linda W. Space Coast, Florida @ Sep 18, 2006
This is really depressing to hear, people like this should be hanged....
akS ! @ Sep 17, 2006
