In an attempt to spread some of the Holiday cheer overseas to their troops in Iraq, Bungie sent across early builds of Halo 3 to American troops so they could have some hands on time with one of the most anticipated games on the planet.
According to a poster on the gamespot forums (who by the way claims to be from the US Army) Bungie set the game up for three days in a row and even gave away free copies of Gears of War (WTF!!).
