The Blood Elves:
Available Classes: Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage, and Warlock

The Horde finally has a race with chicks that are lean, mean, athletically built and drool-worthy. The Blood Elves are a race with an interesting storyline that can be traced back to Warcraft III.
Here's their saga: During the Third War, the notorious king Arthas drained the energies of the Sun-well to resurrect Kel'thuzad (the powerful undead lich). When coupled with the Scourge scourge's invasion, the high elven race was destroyed. In doing so the Arthas denied the high elves from their only source of power, which made them a small and desperate race. In their darkest hour came the last descendant from a royal high-elven bloodline—Kael'thas Sunstrider to take control of things and help them survive as a race. Under his leadership did the travel to the Outlands after being abandoned and shunned by their Alliance allies and it was Illidan who lured them with the promise of another source of power to satiate their hunger for magic—The Demonic Energies. Now, years later, the Blood Elves (that is what the last remaining decendants of the high elves named themselves) have managed to take back what rightfully belongs to them —The Sunspire and most of what used to be Silvermoon city. So basically, your first few missions as a Blood Elf involve killing the scourge that has infested your land, which thankfully isn’t too vast; the questing is over a relatively small area unlike their Night Elf cousins who would make you travel miles to complete some starter quest. You will find a lot of crazed Blood Elves called the Wretched along the way, who have been consumed by their own thirst for magic.
The starting area of the Blood Elves is visually very pleasing. Blizzard has really pumped in a lot of creativity into the crafting of the Blood Elven cities; the massive structures held together by magic, the pretty little fountains, the strangely colored trees, are all quite breathtaking.
In addition to the hot looks and insanely gorgeous cities, the Blood Elves also some pretty badass racial skills such as 'Mana Tap' that allows you tap your enemy's mana over time, while Arcane Torrent allows you to silence enemies around you and gain more mana per Mana tap. Blood Elves also get Arcane Affinity, which gives you +10 to your Enchanting skill, and Arcane Resistance, which is +5 resistance to all schools of magic. You can expect a lot of Alliance players to move over to the Horde just to ride the Blood Elf bandwagon.
