Feature-packed
Optical image stabilizer works well
Sharp and crisp images, with good detailing
Full manual control, including manual focus
Good battery life
Nothing worth mentioning for this price (can you believe it!)
View Specifications

The camera is a fast performer. The time taken between shots was much lower than expected. Startup time is less than a second, but you'll need to look sharp while operating the camera in flash mode. While using the flash, the A590 does tend to take some time to recharge the flash.

The pictures came out quite detailed and sharp, but I strongly recommend experimenting with the manual settings as much as you can. The difference is that you can create the right mood while clicking the subject, and having a good amount of control while doing so is always nice. Here are some ways you can experiment:

The pictures were crisp, even if the detailing was a bit awry, with smudges in shots of foliage. General symmetry of lines was maintained, while purple fringing was absent in 90 percent of the shots.

The camera couldn’t manage to focus on furry objects (like this pup) at close range, but there were no issues with plain surfaces.

This canon powershot A590 cammera is not best.because only 4X optical zoom.&the price is 19,000Rs is not good.
Sony cybershot DSC-H10.is the better good of canon powershot.
And sony's cammera price is 15000Rs.8.1megapixel with 10Xoptical zoom.and you can expand memory 8GB.because it use Memory stick Pro duo.
If you purchase cammera so also purchase sony cyebershot DSC-H10.

i have been using a POWERSHOT A490 for over 8 months, and me being an avid snapper strongly recommend anything in the POWERSHOT series. Great price, Great controls great Pics!
HOWEVER, THE VIDEO AND SOUND TOTALLY SUCK!!
But the again it's a DigiCam not a Camcorder.

Whether the camera model is a590IS of a590. the reviewer has failed to mentioned that the movie mode has downgraded. (is 640*480) @ 20 FPS, whereas its older model a570is is 640*480(30 Fps)
