Low price
Good battery life
Good ISO performance
Night mode results are bad
Zoom sensitivity

If you’re looking for a good looking 10 megapixel camera that doesn’t burn a big hole in your pocket, take a look at the Fujifilm Finepix J27.

The dimensions of the Finepix J27 are 92.0 x 55.9 x 20.0 mm and it weighs 113 gm, making it one of the most compact cameras out there. The body has a clean piano finish which looks good, but also makes it a finger print magnet. The smooth edges add to the overall clean look of the camera.

The camera is definitely one of the most compact cameras available in the market. It is very portable and easily fits in your pocket. The shutter button’s placed on the topside along with the power button. The placing of these buttons is just perfect and makes the camera easily operable with one hand.

Like the previous models of the Finepix A and J series, the J27 has a similar button layout on the back. The two way zoom toggle at the top followed by the disp/back and the play button. Just under these buttons you have the four way navigation console, with shortcuts to delete an image, flash configuration, self timer and the macro mode. At the center of the console is the menu/ok button.

Fabrication quality of my camera was REALLY bad: only after a single month of casual use (i.e. not at the beach or not during holidays) the zoom stopped to work and upon requesting a guarantee repair, the answer was: "there is sand in the camera, you have to pay"
Repair price would have been more than a third of the original price, so it was not worth it, especially after having a camera of a different brand for more than 5 years without any mechanical or electronic problems.

go for canon ixus range, priced from just at 1 or 2k more than this, and (better) unmatched picture, zoom, macro, video, size. Ixus 95/100/ 1100IS etc.
