Looks good
Plays well
Excellent community support
Tons of fun
Universal appeal
Trial and error gameplay may not go down well with certain people
Can get a bit boring after a while
Tracks can get a bit frustrating
Crappy OST and the inability to upload your own music
Doesnt bring a whole lot of new stuf

Unlike most racers that concentrate on high octane crashes, realistic gameplay, elaborate car customization and so on, the Trackmania series has always been about gravity defying stunts, over the top racing and larger than life jumps. The very first Trackmania game was developed by French developer, Nadeo in 2003 and besides the above mentioned factors, another reason this game was well received (particularly in Europe) was because it allowed players to create their very own twisted concoctions using an extremely simple in-game track editor.

Nearly two years later, Nadeo released Trackmania Sunrise and this time round, we got crazier tracks, even more insane jumps and updated graphics; only problem was that the game was bundled with the highly anal Starforce protection system which lead to a certain amount of criticism among the community.

The next iteration of Trackmania titled Trackmania Nations, was absolutely free and was used as a promotional tool for the Electronic Sports World Cup making it an instant hit everywhere, our office included (yeah free stuff kinda does that for you). And now for their third (hope it’s not final) stand, Nadeo has fused in nearly three years of Trackmania goodness into one game to give you one gigantic dose of motion sickness. Ladies and gentlemen, keep those barf bags ready, the ride’s about to begin.

You CAN add your own music to the game - just convert it to MUX and copy it into the appropriate game directory - the music will then play during the gameplay.
