Both Billy and Ray can regenerate their health if they avoid taking damage for a while whereas in the PC version you had to rely primarily on whiskey bottles to replenish your health. Another gameplay addition (and probably the last one) on the Xbox 360 front are single player duels which is basically where you can go and replay any of the bosses you’ve defeated in a dual fight. Xbox 360 owners also get a slight bonus in the form of additional missions that get unlocked as and when you complete the game’s single player campaign.
Call of Juarez is a good looking game; character models look slick, outdoor scenery could give Oblivion a run for its money and the game handles the depth of field effect while zooming in with certain weapons exceptionally well. The PC version suffered from sluggish frame rates even on a beefed up rig but all that has been fixed and thankfully load times do not take a couple of hundred years anymore.
The game is a solid shooter at the end of the day and even though it’s clichéd in almost every way, it’s still an enjoyable romp through the Wild West. If you’ve played the PC version of this game, move right along, but if you’re contemplating between both versions, I would definitely recommend picking up the Xbox 360 version.
