I reach my bay and slump down on my dying chair ready to start the day when my boss comes up to me and tells me to take a look at what’s in our test labs. Wondering what the problem was, I made my way to the labs half sleepy, half sick, walking in a total stupor when I glance upon the Wii staring at me, sitting all pretty in the middle of our labs, connected to our HD monitor.
I stare at it dumbfound, blinking my eyes and it all takes a moment to sink in. I keep feeling I’m in a dream (courtesy your local cough syrup which by the way I do not consume excessively *cough*) and I’m about to wake up any minute but guess what, it wasn’t a dream and the Wii had finally arrived in our labs (albeit for a couple of days).
I feel some sort energy coursing through my veins and I snap out of the trance to make my way toward the console. You know there was a time when I thought the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360 were pretty sleek and sexy in their own way but trust me the Wii will blow you away with its compact and sleek nature. I’ve seen it a gazillion times in videos and I always knew it was small but seeing it in front of you is something else. “It’s f*****g tiny”, I blurted out thinking loudly and the lifeless computer parts strewn all around me seemed to agree since none of them put up any sort of argument.
The reviewer within kept reminding me to check out minute details like connectivity and dimensions but he was promptly silenced by the child within and in a matter of seconds I had strapped on the Wiimote ready to play some Wii Sports.
NOTE: In case you guys didn’t know, Wii Sports is the only title bundled with the Wii (do not expect that same deal in India as it’s sold as a separate title here).
i got my Wii yday...a good friend frm US got it for me....got the whole thing with an extra pair of controller n nunchuk n an extra game for arnd 350$....must say...tis totally worth it....this thing truly is tiny....but the experience is awesome...especially...the boxing game is tiring....n def a good work out... ;)
